  • 13 year old orange cat- Sammy

    6 year old calico- Chewie

Both are fixed, both indoors. Sammy was a double rescue- he was found with his littermates in a box near a house that was being shown by a realtor, he was the only one to survive. Later we rescued him from his owner who wasn't feeding him. Sammy still must have a full food dish or he becomes very nervous. The first thing he did when we brought him here was to eat and then to guard the food dishes. Poor baby.
Chewie was also a rescue- some kids were throwing stones at her when she was only two weeks old. My son dropper fed her and cleaned the fleas off of her by holding her under the faucet and combing. She still likes water. She is called Chewie because she loves chewing cords, not very good for a computer and components.
The cat in my avatar was Chipper. He died in October at age 10. He was from the pound.

  • We have a pit/chihuaua mix (I swear that's gotta be what she is) she'll be 6, her name is Santana, got her from the shelter...

    2. Chow/Akita mix, Grunt. He's gonna be 5...

    3. Jack Russell, Scruffy, she's just over a year

    4. A barn cat, Cheezit (small, orange, from Wisconsin) she's gonna be 5

    5. 6y/o American Bashkir Curly, Allegra...she's a bay...will be 7 in March

    6. Will be 5 in May American Bashkir Curly, Tuffy....bay.....

The first 4 are inside, and as much as I'd like to keep them in my house with the rest of us, our horses stay in the barn! ;)
