What are some simple, creative ideas for making Valentines for kids to pass out?

I have a kindergartner and she has about 21 kids in her class. I have always hated those boxes of valentines you just right your name on and seal with a sticker and glue a piece of candy on. I want to do something fun....

Do you have any cute ideas? If you find one online can you link me? I'm going to search as well and would be happy to share what I find if anyone is interested.

  • Oooo, I'm going to put teddy graham's in a little bag and put a tag on it that says, "you are beary special" lol and for my son with autism's class, I'm going to get pencils (since they all have different allergies) and on that tag it will say "you're all write" lol, I got these out of Family Fun magazine, they have tons more ideas. Have fun!

  • I found something really cute on ebay yesterday! It might be a bit time consuming but FUN and really unique. I already bought the conversation heart boxes.
Here's the link. Let me know what you think!

  • My son made conversation heart necklaces for his class last year. We cut out hearts of construction paper and wrote things on them like "friends forever" "be my valentine" etc and punched a hole through the top with yarn through it. They were cute, simple and all the kids wore them which was pretty cool.

  • My mom had me make my Valentines one year & they were very cute. We cut out hearts from red and pink construction paper. We then glued white paper lace heart shaped doilies on them. My mom bought packs of gum & we glued one piece onto the center of each heart. I wrote, "I chews you to be my Valentine." I did this in the 4th grade so they got the meaning of "chews instead of choose". It would still be cute for kindergarten I think. You can also check familyfun.com. I always find cute ideas on there.

  • I don't know if you do any scrabooking on the computer but last year I made my girls valentines with their pictures on them on them in my scrapbooking program. I printed them out at walgreens for 19 cents. I got the idea from Sears. They charge a fortune! I took my own pictures and made my own cards. Cheap and easy!
