  • have they been opened? if they havnt been opened i would think they are safe i think that date is the date they have to be off the shelf in the store.

  • It probably doesn't go bad right away, but i'm not sure if i'd risk it. Maybe start cutting out the unnecessary bills..

  • I don't think it will hurt it's not like it's 3mths or more expired.

  • I wouldn't try it. There is a reason they put expiration dates on there....There's a difference between an expiration date and a "sell by" date.

  • I wouldn't use it. Formula isn't that great to begin with, I couldn't imagine it after the expiration date.

  • I wouldn't use it either. Maybe you can become qualified for WIC. They pay for formula if you can't.

  • If it has not been open it should be okay. The dates on the cans are sell by dates not experation dates.

  • Better safe than sorry.

Have you tried craigslist? Sometimes you will find moms selling unopened cans of Enfamil in the baby/kids section.

  • And to celticreverie : formula, when it is mixed with the proper amount of water, is perfectly fine. Stop trying to put down moms who use formula...you thought you could slip that little dig into your post without anyone noticing...didn't work!

  • I agree with fallaya. There was no need for that comment. Formula mixed properly, or ready-to-feed formula is perfectly fine. If it wasn't the FDA would not let it be sold.

OP: If it says 'sell by' then it should be ok but if it says 'exp date' I wouldn't chance it.
