  • I bought mine about 32 weeks and was able to get more use out of them by wearing them during the pregnancy instead of my regular bras that had gotten too small. I wore the nursing bras instead of buying new pregnancy bras.

  • Buy one pretty big due to swelling that could happen after delivery but one or two cups bigger is good remember if they get sore gentle warm baths with boobies in the water !!! when the milk comes in somtimes you get sore but the brestfeeding is so worth it !!!!!!!!!!!

  • You'll want to buy at least a cup size, get one now and wait and see what happens when your milk comes in. There are different styles, and it's a good idea to try a couple. I bought mine from milk face, they're bravado bras, available on-line. They have a really good fitting chart system. Stay away from ones with underwire, even the braided underwire (supposedly specially designed for nursing bras) caused me discomfort and may have contributed to a partially clogged milk duct. GOOD luck, it's totally worth it!!

  • I would buy just one. Because after the baby is born your ribs change size and your breasts get bigger.
If you happen to have a Burlington Coat factory near you... they have bras for a great price! And then invest in the pricer bras later after you know for sure what size you will need

  • Before pregnancy I was a 34A, during pregnancy, I was a 36B and now nursing (3 mos in) I am a 34D. The worst advice I got was "just go up a cup size." The best advice I got was to come back in for a fitting a week after the baby was born. The saleswoman who told me the latter was not interested in making an immediate sale!

I bought one during pregnancy anyway because of reading about needing to bring a nursing bra to the hospital. I guess if you're large busted and need the support, that might make sense, but for me it was useless. I went au natural in the hospital and didn't once reach for the packed nursing bra.

The absolute best purchase I made was a PJ set by HotMILK with a cami nursing top - perfect for lazing about the house and sexy to boot. Expensive, but I've worn the thing to death.
