  • Can they decorate their own heart shaped cookies? Me and the kids did that the other day. I bought a small box of premade cookies from the bakery section at Walmart, a pack of paintbrushes at the dollar store, a tub of vanilla icing and sprinkles. They had a great time.

  • We used to make our own little "mailboxes" to receive valentines. Heavy construction paper or card stock works best. http://www.thebestkidsbooksite.com/valentineboxes.cfm has lots of ideas. Have fun!

  • We just made Valentines for my daughters' first and third grade classes. We cut out red and pink hearts out of construction paper. We glued smaller hearts that were paper lace doilies in the middle. We had white and red ones. My kids wrote "I chews you to be my Valentine." at the top of them and then we glued a stick of gum to the middle of the Valentine. The to and from part was written on the back.
