Has anyone made their own cloth diapers?

I feel kinda silly asking this but is possible to make diapers like the bungenius, happy heiny and so on. I like the one size diapers but i hate the price. the cheapest ive been able to find used was $12. Can you make the same quality product yourself at home and end up saving money??

  • yes, you can make them! you should go check out some of the many cloth diapering groups in there. Also, go to www.etsy.com and look at the cloth diapers. tons of work at home moms have shops on etsy. :)

  • absolutely! You will need some sewing supplies and a pattern and your sewing machine, of course. But there are LOTs of mamas who make their own. I have yet to attempt it until I can save up some cash to order supplies, but hopefully I will join the ranks of diaper making mamas soon! And don't forget to post your pics to show off your work! I sewed a cloth wipe the other day as my first sewing project, and I was so proud I posted it online, crooked and everything lol but the mamas I know loved that I tried!
