  • I have sons but I hear this is pretty common. Does she clean herself up after? Do you help her or is it a little of both???

I would recommend the following: 1. let her go naked for a bit to air dry, say after bath time (or any other time that it's convenient
    2. put on a coating of Aquafor in the morning when you get her dressed and before bed: it not only helps heal diaper rash but creates a nice moisture barrier and can even help prevent diaper rash

    Good luck!

  • Is it like a regular diaper rash? Or is it more like really dry skin on her butt? My son is in the same boat...he never had diaper rash (or not bad diaper rash) when he was a baby, but now that he wears big boy underwear all the time, he has severely dry skin on his butt. I have been putting lotion on it several times a day, and hoping that helps.
    Best of luck!

  • Yes, my DD 2 1/2 as well got a yeast infection. It was because even though we made her go potty all the time. Sometimes there were uncaught accidents(she didn't tell us) and when we checked her she had been wet. See a Dr. to make sure it's just a rash and not a yeast infection. They can give you Nystatin if needed. Let her run naked if possible and check her way more then you think you need to. My DD is doing much better now just because we kept on her. Now we have maybe 2 accidents a week, which I think is pretty good...and NO more rash.
