  • I was induced and I got woke up at 6:00 that morning and they started the Potosin to start my labor and the night before they put a pill behind my cervix. By 9:30 I was dilated to a 3 and having contractions and I got an epidural and after that, time went by so fast! It was scary at first but it got so much better.

  • Well.. It only works sometimes! I was induced with my last baby and it didn't work:o( and ended up with an emergency C-section..But you normal get up super early get to the hospital and get started on the PIT in start contractions..I wasn't feeling mine and never started to dilate...So I am unsure of what the labor is like but do Know that if you are counting on an epidural You will be able to get it!!!

  • Induced labor can be more intense and painful, and raises your chances of a c-section. If you MUST be induced, do it, but I strongly advise you to research the consequence of elective induction, as the pitocin also strips the baby of its natural pain-relief methods.

  • It's no picnic thats for sure but I guess any labour is no fun. Take the epidural if you can.

  • WAY MORE PAINFUL. The contractions are much worse with an induced labor. Take any pain meds they offer!

  • Compared to natural labor....it is worse. I was induced w/ my 2nd and 3rd (he ended up being ER c-sec) and they were soooo much worse than my first, which is usually the hardest. If there is any way you can wait it out, I suggest that.

  • Contractions are far worse and stronger thanks to the pitocin

  • I've had 5 babies, the first 2 were not induced but the last 3 were due to pregnancy complications with diabetes. I would so much rather be induced than not! Yes, the contractions are more intense yet bearable, but in my experience labor was soooo much shorter! My 4th baby took only 45 minutes from the time labor started to the time he was born. I actually didn't have time for pain meds because we passed the point that you can get them too quickly. Deliveries were shorter. I guess I'm one of the few that's had a good experience with induction.

  • everyone is different of giving birth.
I was induced at 39 weeks and went in on friday and had baby saturday evening.
I was not dilated and was having HBP(got at last two week before i was due)
Induce is just put the pill in your private area and they come check on you every few hours to see how much you have dilated. If you are lucky the water break and you can get your baby out sooner..
if the baby doesn't wanted to come out and not ready it will not come so they may have to induced you or if you having blood presure problems then they may induced you are give you c-section.

i was very close to have c-section but i had my baby regular
