  • Look at thepioneerwoman.com under the cooking section. She has an awesome recipe for chile con queso made with sausage, velveeta, rotel and a few other things.

  • I make an awesome dip that everyone always asks me to bring. Chili Cheese Dip - I use 1 1/2 lb hamburger, 1/2 of the large brick of velvetta (I use the brand from Aldi's works just as good & is cheaper), can of ready made chili, & a 1/2 cup or more of salsa. Mix this all together in a crock pot, let it cook/simmer for 2 hours stirring ocassionally & serve with tortilla chips. It is always a hit anyway I take it.

  • My boss makes an awesome one: hamburger, spicy pork sausage (like Jimmy Dean in a frozen roll), velveeta, can or two of chopped green chilies, and sliced black olives. You could dump in some salsa too, to thin in out. mmmmmmmm!

  • I've made a similar dip using my crock pot. I use a large brick of Velveeta cheese, one roll of sausage that has been fried & drained, and one jar of salsa.

  • We use Jimmy Dean sausage instead of ground meat sometimes, but we always add the ROTEL.... gotta have the Rotel or it's just ground up cheeseburger.

I always dump in green chilies and/or a diced (seeded) jalapeno.

  • The one we use is Velveeta, cheese wiz, can of cream of celery (or any cream of soup) a can of rotel, and some chile if you want. You can also mix in the meat.
