My 13 year old daughter, really good kid aside from the occasional eyeroll or back talk:), really wants a facebook page. I am really concerned to allow this because of all the ways that "the bad people" can gain access. I am torn between letting her have one and then not because everytime you turn on the news something bad is associated with the internet. Plus I have a law enforcement background which is adding to my "paranoia" lol. My 13 year old has more knowledge of computers than I so even if I moniter the page, there are ways to get around those so called parental blocks.
Anyone else have a daughter/son with a facebook page? I am very open with my daughter and she knows the dangers but she is also a 13 year old that thinks parents are boring and dumb. Any advice??

My 14 yr old doesn't like myspace or facebook. She does have an account on myyearbook though. For the most part it's only teens with a few older people on there. I have her user name and password and she knows never to put personal info on there.
