  • I use vinegar and baking soda for weekly cleaning and then once a month I actually fill the tub up with HOT water and drop in one full box of denture cleaner, lol! It cleans everything off and leaves your bathroom smelling minty fresh, lol! I swear it works and you can get denture cleaner at the Dollar Store.

  • comet or sometimes Kaboom. Both of them get the soap scum out of the tub. I started using the comet because of the scouring power that I needed to get it off. I didn't want to have to scrub too hard. I do tend to use bleach products in the tub because it cleans better, but just remember to rinse it out really really good.

  • Put vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it down, then sprinkle it with baking soda. Sounds crazy! But it works! :)

  • When we lived on a ranch, we got our water straight from a spring. It was pretty hard. I found that Lime Away worked to remove the spots. Also, it's very important to wipe everything down following a shower (keep a towel nearby just for this) to keep the spots at a minimum.

  • I'm not familiar with hard water. But I often use Dish Soap...its cleans extra good, takes any oils away, and doesnt have that harsh smell that burns your nose! Same with Vinegar & Water from a spray bottle.

  • There was a previous post about baking soda on here.. it has many uses I didn't know about but the bathtub is one that our family has used for years... it is great at getting rid of icky soap scum and it is safe for pets and kids! We have really hard water too and this is the one thing I found that really works and is safe for our family!

  • I use the Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber. We have extremely hard water (and expensive too) here and that's the only thing I've found so far to remove the grime.
