  • Why even ask?? You know the answer! No one is going to tell you that smoking is good for your baby so just quit! Think of your baby, not to mention your own health! Smoking is disgusting!

  • Smoking is bad, period. Please do not smoke while you have this child inside you and don't smoke in the house, or in the car once the baby is born. Maybe you'll quit altogether. It's really better for your health.
BTW- my late husband died of lung cancer.

  • smoking is horrible for everyone, especially a baby in utero. Everything you eat or inhale gets passed along the umbillical cord to your baby! Stop smoking Immediately, your baby will thank you!

  • To be honest I smoked for the last 3 months of my pregnancy with my first and my second I smoked a pack a day the whole pregnancy. I will say that my first was healthy as a horse- he weighed in at 9.5lbs and got sick for the first time at 4 with an ear infection. My second was born at 8.4lbs but at almost 2 months was put in the hospital for a lung infection. It was the hardest thing seeing her in an oxygen tent and I could only take her out to feed her. I balled my eyes out seeing her get a chest x-ray, knowing that it was all my fault that she was sick. Try to quit- I know that its hard yet nothing in this world will ever be more important then giving your baby the healthy enviroment to grow in. Good luck.

  • First of all smoking is bad regardless of you being pregnant or not... but yes you should stop. Its not healthy for your child. Also think about the future with your child. Do you wish for yourself to get cancer or some kind of disease that your child will have to watch you suffer from? Smoking may be a stress reliever for you, I dont know. But you can find something safer that soon you and your child can do together.... whether it be photography, sewing, quilting, knitting, singing... choose a stress reliever that wont leave both or all of you suffering. I lost my mom due to cancer at the age of 5. My life has been the biggest roller coaster. I feel like I cant trust a lot of people, Im afraid that I'll loose them. Truth be told I will eventually because thats the way of life, but I dont want to loose them before their time.

  • Stop smoking. Pregnancy is a time to think of more than just yourself. And you'll have to put that kid first for the rest of your life. This is a good jumping off point.
