  • the book is called the buys toddler book.\

For each day of the year, this book suggests creative games and activities to occupy children aged 1 1/2 years to 3 years. Activities include arts and crafts, fun food ideas, color and shape matching, nursery songs, and making "instruments" out of household scraps. The book is sprinkled with humorous and insightful quotes on life with young children.

  • i made homemade play doh and my son loved it! also cut out pics of animals and other interesting items from old mag's and have him use a glue stick to glue them to a piece of paper, and as he's glueing them, talk to him about what they are and stuff. building blocks are great if u sit with him and build with him. bath paints.....

  • My daughter, friend, husband and I all painted a bird house together. We bought it for $1.99 at the craft store (Hobby Lobby.) My daughter loooves to paint, so I figured something like that would be easy/fun for her. She loved it! Just laid down some trash bags beforehand and went at it.

  • also have you ever thought of planting flowers, let her dig the hole either in the flower box, or outside , or better yet, use unusal things like an old aquarium to make into a planter, go to the thrift stores and buy vases and mix marbles or glass stones or colored gravel ( like they use for fish tanks ) into the dirt, let her use her hands and make sure she has play clothes on , then put a plant into the dirt in the vase, then let her water it and keep track ot it and watch it grow.
