My son is 22 months old and he screams bloody murder if I tell him no or if he doesn't get his way.. and then he hits me... I have no idea how to get him to stop. When he does it I try not to get mad or respond loudly because it makes him just scream louder... I've also tried getting a bit firm with him and that also doesn't work... again... he just screams louder. I read in a magazine that you're not supposed to yell or anything because it just shows them it's okay to be loud and scream. I'm out of ideas. Oh and I've also tried time out. Obviously that didn't work either or I wouldn't be asking. LoL. Any advise is welcome!!
Thanks In Advance.

Omg my two year old does the same thing ! I am so fustratated by this behavior. I was in a bad relationship with the father so I believe this contributed to my toddler acting out with me because he would not act this way with his father. I also find myself yelling at him most of the time instead of getting down on his level and interacting with him calmly. I recognize this as a problem. One the first steps I took was leaving my child's father ( the abuser) and now I am able to raise him in a more suitable manner. he is improving and I will as well. good luck gurl
