It depends. If the child goes to college, usually when the child is 22 or 24, depending on the state. Otherwise it is usually 18. It could also end if their was a change in custody.
as kileys said...18 unless they are in college...ive never heard of anyone getting child support past the age of 18 if their child(ren) didn't attend college

It ends when the courtorders it to end in the divorce or custody papers. Usually 18. The only way a non custodial parent pays for college is if they agree to do it and sign a statement to that effect. My father paid child support for us until 18, except one sister..she was covered until almost 19 because she was late starting school and did not graduate until a few weekas before her 19th birthday.
I agree with the other post that usually it is until they are 18 or finish school, sometimes college but also if the child gets married lets say at 16 then the child support will stop. you need to read the child support agreement if you have one already from the courts that will give you the correct information in your case!

In Missouri at the age of 18, unless they are full time students. Then it lasts until graduation. At the age of 18 if they don't go to school, the child support order ends.
Is your child disabled? That changes the entire picture. SS doesn't always kick in or cover everything, it so child support may never end.

My father didn't pay child support for about 7 years and so he ended up having to pay back child support until the oldest was probably 24 or so....

Here in Oregon, My father is required to pay child support until I am 21 because I am attending college at least part time. But also here in Oregon I know that child support ends if you dont go to college, if you get married, and also if you join the Military
Thanks for all the replies. We live in Florida and the divorce papers aren't specific. It states till 18. Not sure if its a given that its till 18 or graduation...
