  • eat well balanced meals and exercise, try prenatal workouts, i think theyre better then regular workouts. of course get your doctors permission before working out. but yes it is possible. i actually lost 30lbs in my first trimester and my doctor was glad i did, i started off a bigger girl so it was healthier for me to lose weight. dont try to lose weight just for vanity. if your going to do it, do it because you want to give your baby a healthier environment. in other words, now is not the time to lose 50 lbs to look good in a dress, its about losing some weight to avoid complications like gestational diabetes and such

  • You should never TRY to loose weight while pregnant. Some women do loose weight due to morning sickness or for other reasons but that is usually normal for them. You need to gain some weight to grow a healthy baby.

  • You need to eat 300 more calories a day to have a healthy baby. You should talk to your obgyn as it is never advised. I lose weight in the first trimester then put it all back on in the third. I usually do not try to lose weight until 1 year after the baby. That way anything that may happen is a bonus.

  • I wouldn't try to lose weight. You need extra calories at this time. Just stay active, and eat healthy foods, and you won't gain a ridiculous amount like I did. I basically sat around and ate my face off, and gained nearly 70 lbs. Of course, with breastfeeding, it helped to burn it all off.

  • you shouldn't "try" to lose weight, but my OBGYN said that as long as i'm eating a normal amout of calories, and portioned meals then if you lose wieght as a result of that, it's fine (because I have EXTRA to spare! lol).
    Healthy, well balanced meals!!!!

  • I have always lost weight with my pregnancies. Doctors go crazy about it, but as long as the baby is health I say you in the clear. With my first I lost 65 pounds, with my second 45 and with my last 30. They all are healthy, strong and athletic. No to mention little geniuses.
