What foundation do you like?

I have tried many foundations but just am not really happy with any of them. Im pregnant and my face is breaking out BAD so I need one that covers pretty well but isn't real thick. Anybody out there have any suggestions?

  • I agree that you have to clear up the acne first. Your skin is the foundation. Have you ever tried any of Arbonne's Skincare products. They work wonders. It is Dermatologist tested along with recommended. It does not have any toxins and is pH correct so it will bring your skin to the correct Ph level that it should be. I do have some samples that I could send you if you are interested. They also offer mineral powder foundations along with the liquid foundations. They have optilight technology so it does not even feel like you have any make up on. If you are interested or would like some more information please contact me.

  • I have always had trouble finding make up I like. I only shopped at the drug store and I think that is where my problem was. Go see a make up counter at the mall or better yet, if you can afford to, go see a professional. I wasted so much money at the drug store, but when I finally got help and spent a little more money on better make up, I'm much happier. I'm now using Jane Iredale Mineral make up. I love it.

  • I wear Mary Kay. I love how their medium coverage liquid foundation feels. I can't tell I have it on (doesn't feel heavy or cakey). I also use their mineral powder foundation. I do agree, you should talk with someone and to be able to "try it" before you buy it. It really doesn't matter what brand you choose as long as it's right for your skin and budget. Hosting a Mary Kay party or attending one would be a great way to try it out. It also helps if you are daily using skin care (cleanser and moisturizer, at least). If you'd like to check out what Mary Kay has you can visit my site, www.marykay.com/marybethvoght.

  • I use BeautiControl's Platinum Foundation. It goes on so light but covers like being airbrushed. Bonus it also has anti-aging properties in it! I also love our Wet/dry foundation. I would definetly try before you by, my experiance though... makeup counter can be pushy sometimes and tell you something looks great when it doesn't. It has happened to me a few times. You can check out my website (www.beauipage.com/tiffanythompson) but I would go to www.beauticontrol.com to find a consultant near you to schedule a free consultation. Also keep in mind that you need to have great skin care for any makeup to work the best. We offer the best of the best in skin care so check that out too. If you have more questions or want additonal info pm me. But overall I would highly recommend finding a consultant in your area so you can try everything before you buy it. Good luck!

  • Have you tried Merle Norman. I use their foundation. It seems expensive, but It lasts for months, so I feel I get my money's worth. It is called powderbase. I use a makeup pad to apply it. therefore, if I am having a bad pimple, I can dab that spot heavier. they will give you a free facial, and help you pick out the right product for your face.

  • I'm an esthetician (licensed skin care specialist) Foundation is not going to help. I worked for Merle Norman Cosmetics for 19 years. I love the product but powderbase foundation is going to be way too heavy for you.
My advice is get the cause of the break outs under control with proper skin care. It's happening because your hormones are out of whack. Clearing it up begins with cleansing and moisturizing.
Mary Kay and Beauty Control are good products but I have never known a skin care professional (licensed and educated) to use them. When you are clearing up acne and blemishes you have to expect a period of break outs while the impurities are pulled to the surface of the skin.

  • Avon has some really good things. Try the Smooth Minerals collection. It covers wonderfully and is natural, so it wont clog up your pores and will not break you out like other makeups. I had really bad skin as a teen, so I am always scared to put anything on my skin. But this stuff is great! If covers awesome an it feels like you are not wearing any make up on your skin at all!!
http://www.yourAvon.com/mmousa is the site if you want to order!
