  • Get a box of Minute Rice, they have really great recipes on the back. All you need is chicken breasts, rice, cream of chicken/mushroom/celery soup, and some frozen veggies. Makes a really really good casserole. They also have groups on here for cooking and crock-potting. The best way to make it cheap is to shop once a week and plan meals, then don't deviate from that.

  • 3 decent size chicken breasts- cubed.
one box of stove top stuffing mix (do not make per box instructions)
    Motzarella cheese
    1 can of diced tomatoes.

Mix the can of diced tomatoes with the stuffing mix, along with 1/3 cup of water.

Layer the chicken, stuffing mix, and cheese in that order into a baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. DONE. This is a simple version of Chicken Brushetta.

  • This is one thing I turn to when money is tight, everyone likes it. Also you can add diced ham and peas to boxed mac and cheese.
    Goulash
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 small green pepper
    1 large onion
    1 tablespoon butter or oil
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    4 cups cooked macaroni
    1(15ounce) can tomatoes
    1(15 ounce) can tomato sauce
Cook macaroni as directed on package. Sauté peppers and onions in oil. Add ground beef, salt and black pepper. Cook until browned. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and macaroni. Simmer on low heat about 15 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. Some water can be added if needed.

  • Meatloaf. I use season salt, garlic powder, italian seasoning and breadcrumbs or bread or (the kids favorite) crushed cheez-its. about 1 egg and 1/2 to 1 cup crumbs per pound of ground meat. Sometimes I add Parmesean. The kids love it. Its my old standby & It's hard to say I don't have the ingredients!
