Could being overweight prevent me from getting pregnant?
i had an iud removed bout almost 2 months ago. i had my period before it was removed after it was removed i havent had one. a week later was when i was ovulating. i have missed almost two periods. i had a little bit of a pink water discharge and that was it. so i have taken 3 pregnancie tests they say negative. i have taken the tests in the morning every week and still a big fat NO!
i weight alot more then i did with my other 3. could my weight be the reason why im having a hard time conceiving ? or maybe i am and my weight is making the hormone weak so the test doesnt detect it??

im not sure your weight can dilute the hormone making the test a false negative but i have heard many people say that being too overweight or too underweight can effect one's ability to conceive.
you might want to talk with your Dr or Midwife.....
Good Luck!

If you are really over weight then yes it can effect it.. My aunt weighed about 300lbs and tryed for about 10 years to have a baby.. then she got the gastric bypass and she was pregnant with in 3months... But you don't need to look into that just yet that is a last resort!

You need to give your body more time to recover from the IUD before expecting to get pregnant. Your body is still hormonally imbalanced from it and you may not be ovulating regularly for a few months. To the weight concern. It is recommended to lose weight before TTC because excess weight can effect fertility. This isn't to say overweight women can't get pregnant but that the healthier you are the better the odds.
