Has anyone had morning sickness with their first pregnancy and not their second pregnancy?

I had horrible morning sickness when pregnant with my daughter, who is now 2 1/2. I had two miscarriages. One in February and one in May. I am now pregnant again (almost 6 weeks) and do not have morning sickness. I started to have morning sickness with my daughter when I was 5 weeks pregnant. I was just wondering if anyone has had morning sickness with one pregnancy and not the other. I am just concerned since I had two miscarriages this year already and I didn't have morning sickness with those pregnancies either. I am crossing my fingers that someone else has had morning sickness with one pregnancy and not with the other and still had healthy pregnancies and babies........

  • With my first, my daughter, I was sick 8 or 10 times a day every damn day for 12 weeks straight. I was so dehydrated, and sickly looking. I lost 15 pounds. I, too, had a miscarriage, although I dont think that has anything to do with morning sickness. This time, it is a boy, and I am 23 weeks- I have had next to nothing! I got sick maybe a couple times, a felt nauseous a couple times- that was it. I didnt do anything differently, either. I was so nervous there was something wrong with the pregnancy- completely normal thoughts, especially after a miscarriage- because I had read that the stronger the pregnancy is, the stronger your hormones, so the stronger your morning sickness. But let me tell you- all that worrying was for nothing, because there is absolutely nothing wrong with my baby! Dont worry- you could just be lucky this time around! And you never know- next time you could be sick a a dog for 9 months, so enjoy it while you can!

  • i'm on my second pregnancy. the first was when i was 16 and terminated at 12 weeks. i started getting sick the first time at around 6 or 7 weeks and was deathly ill the entire time. this pregnancy i started getting sick at 5 1/2 weeks and it lasted into the middle of second trimester. my mom said she was sick all three times. but some people either never get sick or only get sick the first time. each pregnancy is different.

  • Yes, both of my children were completely oposite, with one i never felt sick, hell, i did''nt even feel pregnant exept when i felt him move in me, i ran around and did everything. But with my second child, i was sick the whole time, not just the first three months, and i had constant pain and bleeding, oh, i just can't even begin to tell you. But yeh, they were both completely different.

  • My best friend was pregnant at 16 and had an abortion, but while she was pregnant she got NASTY sick. She used to run out of class and didn't even make it to the bathroom. She puked in the hallway. Then at 24 she had her daughter. NOT ONE DAY of morning sickness at all. She went right to eating. She found out she was pregnant at like 10 weeks or something. Everything went smooth (aside from her gaining 70 lbs, but her daughter is 2 now, and she lost the 70 lbs!!) So I guess your body just changes.
