Did you lose your pregnancy weight? How long did it take?

Will it come off naturally over time? I gained 33lbs in my pregnancy.

  • Nope. It's funny because right after I had my son I started losing weight and everyone told me that nursing really helps. So I did good for a while and it slowly stopped coming off and started coming back on. My son is a 12 months and I nursed him for that whole time but I found out 6 weeks ago I was pregnant. So I'm packing on the weight yet again! I'm going to try and do better and work out, I start yoga next week. So hopefully I don't gain too much weight and I can lose it after this baby.

  • I was younger then and lost it quickly, maybe in about two to three months, my second one was tougher, I am still trying to lose the last fifteen pounds and it's been nearly four years!

  • I had a very funny pregnancy. I craved protein, so I ate burgers and baked beans all of the time. If I was eating, I was eating one of the two. Well anyway, I gained 68 pounds while I was pregnant with DS. It has been 3 years since he was born and I have just now lost 47lbs or so. I have another 20 to lose. I have a hard time losing weight though, so don't base anything around how long it took me to lose the flab....well, and how long its gonna take to lose the rest, lol.

  • Hi, I gained 35 pounds with my first son and lost everything in 2 weeks after he was born. I am considered overweight anyways but the baby weight was gone and I was trying to lose more weight. 6 months later i found out I was pregnant with my second son. I tried not to gain too much weight that time so I only gained 15 pounds. I lost that also within two weeks of his birth. Nursing might have helped but I have low milk supply so I can't nurse like I would like too. I have heard taht but I don't think it had to do with my losing weight. I guess that it just depends on how you are built and your habits. My problem is not the baby weight it is the weight i gained before i got pregnant. Hope this is helpful.

  • hunny don't worry i gained 54 lbs with my pregnancy. Ive lost all of it naturally and now i even weigh less then before a got pregnant . it took me prob. two months total to lose everything if not a lil more. you dont need to do anything special to lose it. all you need to do is take care of ur baby and ur own body like take ur vitans and things of that nature other than that youll lose your baby weight.

  • I had my baby a little over a month ago and I have lost around 30 something lbs. I gained around 50 during my pregnancy and as soon as I had my baby I had lost 20 lbs. I've still got around 10-20 to go though.
