  • Only take what you really need and want.. That way your not over crowded ...And make sure you mark each box so you know what room to put it in as you are unpacking!

  • In addition, unpack the kids room first and get thing set up from them. It helps make things easier for them, especially when they are sleeping in a new place.

  • This is a great oppertunity for you to unbecome a packrat. Basic rule is. If you havn't seen it, used it, or thought of it in 6 months or more, out it goes! Of course family momento's dont count, like your baby book from childhood, box of family pics, but wedding gifts from 9 years ago you havn't unpacked or used should go in the garage sale pile. I wish you luck in your move.

  • Start packing now, and label on the outside of the box what room it is to go into and which boxes should be opened by, say, a friend who is looking for something to help you unpack. Label on paper what's in each number boxes...

  • Try and get rid of as much as possible..stuff you haven't used in a year. label the boxes by room, living room, girls bedroom etc.....it can be overwhelming when you realize how much stuff you really have. Good luck!

  • Start throwing things out that you haven't used for a long time. Get organized. You will feel so much better. Then one room at a time. We are moving next month too, but to a home double the size and some. So that will help as we refurbish the home.
