We're going to England with our daughter who will be 22 months. Any advice?

If at all possible with your budget, I would highly suggest buying your daughter her own seat. The last thing you need is your daughter sitting on your lap during the entirety of a long-haul flight. You and she will be more comfortable with the additional room to move around. And at her age, she'll want to move around beyond walking her up and down the aisle when allowed to. Our son was about 15 mos. when we took him on an intercontinental flight and having his own seat really saved our sanity. Bon voyage!
