  • Go to fafsa.ed.gov and fill out a free, online application for financial aid. It will ask you what college you wish for them to send your Student Aid Report to. You can look up your school's code on their web page. It leads you step-by-step in filling out the form. It will take about an hour to fill out--two at the very most. Print off everything from the very beginning for your records. Once the school you wish to attend receives this report, you can then talk to their Financial Aid Office and they'll guide you from there. I just filled one out last week. Good luck!

  • A good place to start is http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
You will have to fill out the application there to get financial aid. They have to send you a PIN number by mail too.
As a single mom you should qualify for Pell Grants. I did and it paid for every penny of my tuition and books!

  • Go to the college you want to attend and talk to financial aid. Avoid the online sites that want you to fill out a ton of forms as they check credit reports and that shows up on your credit report and can negatively effect you. Seek aid for the college you want to go to, not some online sit that may or may not be real and steal your identity. If you cant get aid for the actual college you want to attend it's doubtfull some online site will qualify you either. Go to the source.
