How can I find a legitimate work from home job?

You are right to be skeptical. The only times there should ever be a fee involved is if you are starting a business or a couple of the companies that hire do ask you to pay for a background check.

There are lists of companies that hire in the work at home section at http://itsfree.proboards43.com but be aware.. the competition for these jobs is tough. If you can do project type work you can also check into mechanical turks through amazon. They list a lot of projects that pay and you can get started right away.

Try the group WORK FROM HOME JOBS here on cafe mom. I haven't gotten a wahj yet but I havn't really tried yet either they tell you where to go from things like customer service jobs, how much they pay, and if there is a charge like a background check.
