  • Yes the contractions go from nothing at all to very very painful things!!! And VERY close together. I went from nothing to.. major painful contractions.. that were only 30 seconds apart!!!

  • Yes....pitocin is horrid. Why are they inducuing? Probs with baby? Past 42 weeks? (due dates are only estimates, and some women gestate longer).

  • I was induced with both children. Get the epidural and you will be fine. It doesn't drug the baby out, and you won't feel pain from the waist down.. you'll just feel a "pressure" feeling. My first epidural didn't take until 9 1/2 cm (joy!) I could definitely feel that! hehe. I've never had a baby that wasn't induced so I can't tell you how those contractions compare -- but I know they say induced contractions are harder/more powerful. I liked being induced, the comfort of being at the hospital, my husband knew when the baby was coming.. etc. Good luck!

  • i don't fare too well with pain, but i was induced with both of my children and truthfully, you kinda get distracted by all the excitement. yes,it hurts but who ever said childbirth was easy? the part i found to be the most painful was as i was pushing my daughter out-the pressure was overwhelming! it wasn't that bad the first time around with my son but they said my daughter was so low that the epidural couldn't work as effectively. either way, you'll find the strength to get through and begin to enjoy every second of motherhood! GOOD LUCK!

  • They gave me the pitocin after I had already been on the epidural for several hours so I didn't feel a thing. And it worked like a charm because I went from 8cm to 10cm in less than 45 minutes and after 5 minutes of pushing I had a baby! LOL I must say that my childbirth was pretty easy. But *knock on wood* if I ever decide to have another!!!
