What's Etsy, and how can an Etsy shop help me sell my handmade crafts or goods online?

What are the rules to sell on etsy? Do I have to have a business license and all that official, fancy paperwork crap? And file taxes and whatnot...?

  • I love Etsy. You can find really unique, handmade products of all kinds there. I like supporting handmade goods! You can set up your own store if you would like to sell a product of any kind. You can find really cute bamboo clothes there!

  • Etsy is a store where you sell handmade, real vintage and supplies, items. It's easy to set up. No you odn't need fancy paper work and everything like that depending on what your selling. If your selling edibles then yes! If not, it's nice to at least have your business registered or something to that affect. They have lots and lots of rules so i would go to this link http://www.etsy.com/faq.php and it give you all the do's and don'ts of etsy. I've been selling on there for 5 months now and i love it. It's laid back. Only thing is that it takes a while to build up business, so if your looking for this to be your bread and butter, it takes a while to get to that point. Feel free to PM me if you like or have any other questions about it. i'm under http://www.anitacraftycreations.etsy.com so you can see how things are set up and a round about view of it.
