  • Maybe not 5 minutes, but have you tried a baked ziti before?

Boil the pasta, ziti is typical but any noodle would work really
Drain the pasta and mix with your favorite red pasta sauce until the pasta is coated (one can or bottle should do it).
Optional: add browned ground beef or sausage (leaving these out makes it a vegetarian dish which is usually a welcome sight at potlucks though and makes it cheaper for you!)
Pour into cassarol and top with mozzarella or any italian cheese blend
Bake in the oven 30-45 minutes (until cheese is melted and a little browned with the sauce bubbling.
cover with foil and you are ready to go!

  • Brown ground beef. Add chopped onion, bell pepper (any color), and celery, and saute until the veggies are soft. Add 2 cups of rice, 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, 2 cans cream of chicken soup, 2 cans chicken gumbo soup (Campbell's). Add 2/3 can water for each can of soup. Stir. Simmer for about an hour, until the rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed. This is really tasty, and it reheats great.
