  • I am an RN. It can take up to 6 months after you give birth to get ur period again... My son is also 2 month and I still havent had mine either... If you are taking any kind of birth control that can postpone it as well... after giving birth you still have alot of hormone changes going on and being under the stress of a new baby can change it also! hope this helps. if you have any more questions message me!

  • my daughter is 9 mo. old and my period is still not here. I had my tubes tied, so I'm fairly sure I'm not pregnant again...but I'm a bit worried anyway.

  • That's normal. Especially if you're breastfeeding. There are some women who don't get theirs for a whole year. I got my regular period exactly 28 after having my first through third. My fourth and fifth (twins) are over two months old now, but I still haven't gotten my period.

But beware, that doesn't mean that you can't get pregnant!

  • My daughter is 8 months old and I still havn't had a period, but I also exclusivly breast feed her still. If you're worried about being pregnant again and you're breast feeding then you really dont have much to worry about, breast feeding (from everything I've read but dont take my word on it) is just as effective if not more at keeping you from getting pregnant then birthcontrol is.

  • Gaberielle - from what I've read, we've got pretty much the same information. It's natures way of going "Hey, don't you already have someone to take care or aaaaaaaall the time???" But I am still on birth control AND we use condoms. Mostly because the birth control is that stupid "mini-pill" that you have to literally take the same time every day! The only reason I am using it is because I still want to breastfeed my 7.5 month old... But more to the point, I haven't gotten my period yet, either. It's kinda nice!!! I'm rather enjoying it ;-)

  • Are you breastfeeding? This can delay it the whole nursing relationship or you can get it next week. Everyone is different and every post partum is different. I had my first post partum period when my DD was 7 months old but then went over a month before I had another.

  • I breast fed till my son was 2yrs old and didn't get my period until then....so I have no period for like 34 months total!!!- then as soon as I go it back 2 mnths later prego again.

  • My son was born in Feb of '85, I didn't get my first period until Mar of '86! A month after his first birthday. I was breastfeeding almost exclusively up to about 10 months old (long story why we stopped) I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not.
