  • You're supposed to shave in the direction the hair grows - but I feel stubbly after that too, so I shave in all directions like my arm pits. I use a new razor often. Using some sort of shave gel can help too. Just be careful when it's growing back in, watch for ingrowns and poke them out if you get them.

  • i personally take my fingers and stretch the small area im trying to shave so its as flat as can be.. less hairs get ripped out that way.. small sections at a time

  • Use conditioner instead of shave cream or you can buy special shave creams Coochie Cream or Fuzzi Wuzzi. Also try not to go over the same area a whole bunch of times and for the first couple of times it might be itchy or red until your skin gets used to it.

  • Let yourself soak in the warm tub awhile too or the shower to soften the area and yes "tension" is the key and of course a new razorblade and shave gel. I also started putting baby powder or gold bond powder on my panty line b/c if you live in humid weather like I do then your lotion NEVER dries there and it will cause you to have bumps! Happy Shaving!

  • I hate when I get those dang red irritating bumps! It does take a few times for your skin to get used to it. I do it at the very end of my shower ... must use a good razor that isn't dull ... that's a big thing. Use some conditioner or really moisturizing body wash [or shaving cream/gel of course]. Stretch the area [like someone mentioned] -- this does help a lot because typically it helps you get more hair removed in one swipe...the more you go over one specific area the more likely you'll get irritated. Then lotion up! I try to put the lotion on before I leave the bathroom cause its still warm. It also helps to just keep doing it. Even if the area is a little irritated, if you keep it up your skin will get used to it a lot quicker than if you do it once and then not again for a month. Good luck =)

  • How about when it starts to grow back and it itches??? Then what? You can't walk around scratching all day.

  • Honestly I tried and tried to rid the razor bumps down there because I like it shaved. So after MANY different trys and products I have found that a good razor with a new blade like Shick quattro for woman and the Aveeno shave creamWork amazingly together. First trim everything down with clippers then when in the shower wash real good then lather with Aveeno shave cream then use the new razor and go in all directions. Try to go slow but firm(Not hard) and always apply more cream to an already shaved area if you need to get it smoother. I love the smooth shave and I don't get the nasty razor bump or burn.
