  • Change all the products you use to green products or homemade ones.

Here is a nice link for cleaning products:

Change all of your shampoo and personal products over. This is a good first step and if you want to go further stop using shampoo and conditioner.

Gardening - take it slow. Start with planting two things and increase your abilities as you go. If you decide you wantr to grow loads at once it can be overwhelming and offputting - so if you successfully grow 1 or 2 things it will give you the confidence to go further. As you garden you son will hopefully watch and want to help :)

Try to buy less stuff packaged - try to not buy stuff! Or get it second hand or organic. If you buy less and be less materialistic and more simple your life will be a lot better and this will teach your son not to be wanton over material items.

  • recycling is great - conserving around the house - lights, water, over all energy use - as far as healthy diet - live by the golden rule - If God didn't make it - Don't Eat IT! - if you for those households that want to leave god out of it - if Mother Natural did make it - don't eat it ! I have used this with my son for as long as I can remember... it has taught him healthy eating habits, when we go to the store, he knows what is good and what is not good - I save so much money because I don't buy all the junk foods, etc.... I promote healthy living habits, visit my page I love to share what I have learned with others...

  • Google homemade cleaning recipes. You'd be amazed at the money you save not to mention the added benefit of it not being toxic.

  • Stop vaccinating (toxic ingredients in there!), use canvas bags instead of plastic at the store, clean with vinegar and baking soda, get rid of your microwave, www.seventhgeneration.com organic foods, home made foods, www.kleankanteen.com www.magiccabin.com www.organicmonsters.com Cook in only cast iron skillets, walk instead of drive, no silver fillings (made with mercury), use rock deoderant, get plastics out of your home, use aluminum free baking powder to cook with.

  • Also, I just placed surge savers on all my outlets, and when I go to bed at night...I unplug everything. Juice is still running through if it's plugged in and not even on. Get surge protectors and unplug when you go to sleep. My electric bill went down $100- from doing this, alone.
