Do diet pills work?

I was just wondering if anyone had any results with diet pills and if so what kind. I just had 2 lil boys and have PLENTY of baby weight I need to lose. I watch what I eat (although I could do better) and I try to exercise but don't get much "alone" time to do that 'cuz of the boys. I used to take diet pills when I was younger to help with weight loss but that was YEARS ago. I've always had a weight issue and I'm not looking for a quick fix or anything unhealthy...just a lil help to go along with diet and exercise.

  • DON'T TAKE THEM! I took trimspa until I found out I was preggo and they didn't help at all! AND my sil took some "natural" ones a couple years ago and now her liver is shutting down, coincidence? I think not! Stay away from them, please! Just cut your portions, eat fresh everything, and run in place! Take 5 mins here and there to excersise, soon enough, you'll have 30 mins a day in!

  • Well, I don't reccomend taking pills but I have to admit that I have taken them before. The only one that worked for me was a carb blocker/appetite suppressent that I took about 5 years ago. I have been trying to find it and I can't. I don't have the bottle and I don't remember what it is called. I knwo that I ordered it from a mom who had a home business..but I can't remember which one and I'm not close to her anymore. So..I know that it works, I jsut don't know what it is called! I know, I am no help at all and I am still tryintg to find it. I know that if I saw it I would know it.

  • Bugg, why don't you try B-50. It helped supress my appetite, but they are not diet pills. You can buy them at Walmart for $5, a brand called....spring something.... B-50 complex, timed release pills. Try them! They will give you some extra energy, also.

  • Put those boys in a stroller & go to the park & walk every day. While you are ruff housing on the floor do some sit ups & pushups with the boys on your back.Use smaller plates. green vegetables, lots of fruit, drink 8 glasses of water. Ck out weight watchers.

  • Dont take diet pills- they don't work. If you do loose weight with them it will come back when you stop taking them. If you feel you must use diet pills go fo the more natural stuff or even vitamins that you can take in addition to exercise. I took die tpills years ok- I know how tempting it can be.. I have lost 12 pounds since the end August- I only work out 3 times a week for 40 minutes. I have improved my eating a little- not much- I certatinly get enough to eat and if I feel like having a treat I do. I think every little bit helps. I know its hard to find time to exercise- I am a single mom with 3 kids. I do exercise videos or fit tv either early in the morning or at night when their in bed. Also most YMCAs have child care for people who are using the gym. diet pills are no good- you will feel so much better about yourself if you do it right!!!!!

  • Diet pills just make things worse, not to mention they are really bad for your stomach. First train your brain to say your are eating healthy - this will get you to the point of knowing what is good and what is not. Stay away from processed foods - and all diet products. They contain chemicals that actually make your fat cells bloat. Drink a lot of water - live by the golden rule, If god didn't make it, don't eat it. Being a mom of 2 boys, you must be very active - if you eat right your body will jump start itself to start burning more calories, just keep moving. Eat fruit, especially dark colored skin fruit, it contains a natural chemical that helps with weight loss. I have a journal post on it, visit my page - it is very cool.

  • Not only are diet pills ineffective, they can be quite dangerous. Better to take those precious boys and get out there and WALK. Walk every single day and eat healthy and I promise you, you will lost weight and tone up quickly. Be sure to stay hydrated, and never go more than 4 hours without eating something, even if it's a piece of fruit or some carrot sticks. Eat whole foods...meaning, foods as nature made them, without chemicals and preservatives...as much as possible. Eat whole grains when possible, and avoid simple carbs (white flour, white rice) as much as possible.

  • I am taking an effective diet pill. It doesn't have any drugs stimulants or side effects, it is safe to take. I have lost over 9 lbs in 2 weeks . I am kindof bad about taking it, when I don't I don't gain any though and when I start again I lose like 1 lb a day.
