Can I apply for WIC if I have no income at all?

  • WIC usually helps you right off the back if you have assistance during the preg. like medicaid or state funding. If you don't have an income you should be a shoe in, but it depends on your state. Call the local health and human services (rather than standing in line FOREVER) and ask where the nearest wic office is. I'm on WIC its helpful and when the baby is born they help with formula or if your going to breast feed they help with the pump. here's a # (800) 942-3678 but i'm from Texas, if you call ask for a local one near you.

  • You can apply for WIC, but not food stamps or cash assistance, and actually i live in PA and they gave me a hard time with WIC, because i live with my father and they were going to base it on his income which is wayy too much and you cant say that you have no income because then they say, how are you living. Your best bet is to tell them that you babysit and thats where you get your extra money for just the few things that you need.
