We have around 11 weeks left and I want to get stuff together.

  • depends on what your hospital offers...I would ask when you take a tour...cause mine gave us diapers, wipes, bottles (bottles if your not breastfeeding) blankets, etc....but In my bag I packed a few onesies, a stuffed animal, baby blanket, and a camera. I took full advantage of everything the hospital offered. They'll even send you home with a few things.

  • You actually need a lot less stuff than you think. The hospital give you diapers. You'll need an outfit for them to wear home, a carseat, and I highly suggest pads and some extra undies for you unless you want to wear the baggy nasty thing they give you :( You don't really need to bring rash cream, baby won't be coming out with a diaper rash LOL or powder or anything like that.

  • shower stuff, robe, slippers (in case they have to walk to help speed things up), pads, extra undies, comfy clothes, a coming home outfit for baby, a bink (if you want to use one),camera, batteries, magazines (my labor was a marathon and those came in handy), extra hairbands, insurance info (just in case). i didnt pack bottles or diapers my hospital gave them to me and tons to go home with.

  • The hospital I delivered in gave us a ton of stuff for my DS. I just packed a few cute outfits for him in my bag. They gave us everything else. In fact, I actually got a diaper bag from them! As for the stuff you will need for you, I agree with everything the previous posters said. Don't forget about the camera, with an extra set of batteries, just in case! I had to stay for a couple of days, so I took all of my personal hygiene stuff, a robe and slippers. I also took my own pillow and a small hand-held back massager, because it really helped with the lower back pains I had near the end of my pregnancy. Other than that, just take what you think you will need and will make you comfortable. :)
