  • Easter for me is the most important holiday of all. Starting with Good Friday, we take that weekend to remember the ultimate sacrifice ~ The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For me, it's what my beliefs are all about. This holiday is uber special and we take it seriously. We do allow for the silly aspects as well but it's very low key. We do baskets and egg hunts for family activities but we don't make it a huge "this is what Easter is all about" deal. It's an added bonus. As for the Easter bunny ~ he's just stupid so no, we don't add him into the celebration. =)

  • We don't keep easter but do keep Passover.......... The days don't add up to Christ death and resurrection for ppl to keep easter and the day Jesus rose. also easter was originally a peagan holiday ti ishtar, the goddess of fertility. Also it was set by the Catholics and I'm not catholic.
We keep Passover b/c it was instituted for us to be kept by God, Jesus taght the deciples to keep Passover and it is commanded to be kept forever and ever

  • Same as Christmas and Halloween, in the commercialized sense.

  • I celebrate Ostara, which is the Pagan precursor to Easter. But we celebrate Easter in the secular sense.

  • We celebrate Resurrection Sunday (aka Easter). I stopped calling it Easter 15 years ago and my son was 5 and never really got into the easter bunny thing. He also hasn't had an easter basket or gone easter egg hunting since he was 6. did he miss out? No. He was taught it was about what Jesus did. I do know that the history of easter and the significance of the egg and bunny but again... I celebrate it as Resurrection Sunday and reflect on what Jesus did.

  • We celebrate Ostara with our group or at home. Then when the kids were little we would hide and hunt eggs.

  • She's not old enough yet, but I plan on leaving an Easter basket out for her, as well as coloring eggs and hunting them in the yard. Then, most importantly, the resurrection aspect......

  • I don't celebrate any religious meaning - we do decorate eggs and I put out as basket of candy for the kids. Like many other 'holidays' I celebrate family togetherness.
