Is it too late to change my 3-month-old baby's name?

i changed my mind on daughters middle and last name is it too late?

  • As long as you and the father are in agreement you can have it changed, but if the father won't agree to it then you are stuck.

  • Not sure. Never heard of something like that. Last name yes shouldnt be a problem, like when you just got married or so. But the middle name.

    A baby name is something special and nothing you should change your mind on a couple months later.
    But you probably have a really important reason to do it.
    Call your registry office and ask them if its possible. You probably just have to pay a little fee for them and you need to get the birth cert. changed, thats expensive though i think.

  • HAHA...My friend did this,TWICE!! But, she only changed their frist names. I guess after they were born, she found a name that she thought fit them better. Not sure how, I guess just filing a paper somewhere. Shouldn't be too hard!

  • You need to go through the social security office. They will tell you how to change your child's name, but be prepared, they do not like it.
