How long do you bathe your child?

My son is about a year old and takes baths that range anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes. How long do your kids play in the bath for?
-- i have to take my son out at different times, depending on when he starts trying to stand up in the tub.

  • My little girl will splash and play all night if I let her. She gets 2 "sit back down" warnings and then the bath is over. Otherwise, I let her splash about 15 minutes. By then, the water is getting cold.

  • Its all up to you and what you feel comfortable or how long you want to hang out in the bath room. I would take a bath with my child atleast once a week to give a longer play time. I still do. this time with both children. Easier to wash them and watch them we are probably in there any where from 20 min to a half hour. WE splash, play boats, do car wash draw on the wall with bubbles they love it. I have a two yr old and a 6m old.

  • My son is usually only in the tub for about 10 or 15 minutes if he is lucky. He always pulls the plug and there is no stopping him. He wants to play even when the water is drained, but it gets cold too fast. If by some miracle the plug stays in the tub, then he wants to stand up and he gets a few warnings before we get out. If my niece who is 2 is here, he'll stay in longer because she takes the plug from him and puts it back!!! LOL.

  • 3 yr old DD is in the tub until she is ready to get out, usually about 20-30 min. 9 mo old DD is in and out as fast as possible, she has eczema and can't be in the water for very long.

  • My son is 18 months old and he's usually only in for 10 to 15 minutes. By then, he wants to stand up in the bathtub which is a no no at his age.
