  • I put a whole chicken in a roasting pan after I have washed it and patted dry, I melt some butter and pour over it then I coat it with paprika, black pepper, and a little salt, if you like dill I sometimes use a little dill weed and rub all that in I also pour a little water in the bottom of the pan and bake it for about an hour - to an hour and a half at 350. I baste it about every 30 min. I also cut up potatoes, carrots and onions and cook them in with the chicken so you have a nice 1 pot meal so easy cleanup.

  • There's the tried-and-true bake in the oven method :D You could go to FoodNetwork.com and find probably millions of recipes for glazes or herbs and spices you could add to the chicken :D

  • If you have a crock-pot/slow-cooker, crumple up some aluminum foil and put it in the bottom, then put the whole chicken on top and sprinkle with seasonings of any kind. Set it on low for about 6 hours, and the meat will almost fall off the bone...super yummy!

  • Drunken chicken is the best. Half a beer up the bum stuff an onion down the neck. Dry the outside then make a mixture of olive oil lemon juice garlic salt pepper and rosemary. Coat the chicken with the mixture cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes per pound. You may need to cook uncovered the last 30 minutes to make the skin crispy.
