  • Are you asking for a self-help book or a kiddie book to read to your kid? "cause I like Dr. Suess's Sleep book for the latter. heck, it puts me to sleep!

  • I meant a book on techniques for helping your baby sleep. Like the No Cry Sleep Solution. I have that one and I was wondering if there are other good ones that have worked for anyone.

  • I tried The No Cry Sleep Solution but it didn't work for my daughter. After 2 weeks, she was screaming for longer and longer periods and waking more often at night. Sigh.
It is very true that all babies are different and not all methods work well with all babies.
I ended up with Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. It worked pretty well for us.
I suggest you go to the bookstore and thumb through some of the "getting baby to sleep" books. Pick a method you think will work for your baby. Give it a good try for at least a week. But be willing to switch methods if it isn't getting any better or is getting worse.

As to what book I read to her: Our last book every night since she was about 4 months old is "The Going To Bed Book" by Sandra Boyton. There are hundreds of good choices. I strongly suggest you stick with a board book though since the book will see a LOT of wear over the years.
