  • my daughter has a tropical room, she has a bunk bed (full futon on the bottom) and we glued a "hula skirt" around the middle of the bunk bed so it's like she has her own little tiki hut. we got butterfly mini lights for a buck or two and taped them to a mirror on her vanity dresser and we got cheap melamine (yes melamine--plastic, what it's intended for, not food, lol) plates in bright tropical colors/shapes/images like lobsters and starfish and doubletaped them to the green wall. we intend to find paint the floor a deep blue like the ocean and maybe a beach eventually! her comforter came from Target from the tropical collection it's white and has palm trees and monkeys. that was the splurge for the room.

  • My DD's room is done as an outdoor theme...I painted the walls and ceiling sky blue, painted clouds on the ceiling and hung floating birds and butterflies with fishing line...along the bottom I painted a picket fence and trees and then put stickers of butterflies, dragon flies, and bugs all around.

  • My 2 y/o daughter has a Wizard of Oz themed room. She has blue gingham curtains, lamp and bedding. She has a very large Wizard of Oz framed picture on one wall. She has Wizard of Oz stringed lights around the curtains. All my memoribilia from when I was little is on the walls and on her dresser.
