What are some good snacks for a football party?

My SO is having his buddies over to watch the game this Sunday and I really wanted to knock them out with some awesome food. Any ideas?

  • There is a great recipe I got from someone else for Rotel Sausage dip. You need 1lb of mild sausage (not the links, the stuff that comes in the tube that you can slice into patties), 1lb of Velveeta and 1 can of Rotel tomatoes. Cook sausage (don't cut into patties, cook it like you would hamburger, getting as many of the chunks out as you can). Cube velveeta, place in large, microwave safe bowl along with Rotel (undrained). When sausage is thoroughly cooked, drain grease and put into dish w/cheese and Rotel. Cook in microwave til cheese is melted, stirring to blend. Serve w/tostidos scoops.

  • You can also make mini calzones, wings (TGI Fridays makes good ones you can buy at your grocery store), a veggie tray, club sandwiches cut into 4 triangles, cheese tray, spinach dip...

  • For Jessy's dip....we make that but add 1 lb of hamburger to it also....and just put it in the crock pot so the cheese will stay melted through out the whole game...it goes a long way.

Subs (you can buy a huge kit of sub meat at Sam's for $6.00)
    Sloppy Joes
Big pot of chili or soup

  • I always made sausage balls for hubby's party. The guys loved them. Plus little smoked sausages wrapped in bacon, with brown suger. I never had any leftovers when I made those!

  • Yes. Here ya go:
    Spicy Beef Dip

    1 lb ground beef
    ½ cup chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
1 8 oz. can tomatoe sauce
    ¼ c catsup
    ¾ tsp. dried oregano
    1 tsp. sugar
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
    1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

Cook ground beed, onions and garlic, until beef is lightly browned and onions are tender. Stir in tomatoe sauce, catsup, oregano and sugar. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Spoon off excess fat. Remove from heat and add cream cheese and parmesan cheese. Stir until cream cheese has melted and is well combined. Serve warm.

This is a fun dip for any party. Put in a crock pot or fondue pot to keep it warm and serve with bite size pieces of French bread. YUMMY!

  • My fiance LOVES tortilla Pizzas!! You just take a torilla and spread sauce over the whole thing and then on half you put the topping you want (cheese pepperoni, ect) and then you fold it over. Then you bake it at 350 until the cheese it melted and then cut into triangles, usually I just cut in fours. He loves it for the game, I make it for super bowl, but then again the only two superbowls I had to SUFFER through were after the birth of both our daughters (one jan 19th and 3 yrs later jan 25th) and that is all that I had the energy to cook. But he loved them.
