If my husband pays child support, is he entitled to visitation?

well,duh..its only right that he recieves vistiation unless there is an awful reason he shouldn't see his child.

depends on the state..... what I've found is that most men who don't care enough to pay support, usually won't push too hard for visitation.... they may at first seem like they want it.... they may even be awarded it.... but in a lot of cases after a few visitations, they realize they just did it to piss you off & stop taking it.

Most of the time if they pay child support they get visitation too..That's the reason I didn't push for child support.

child support and visitation are two diffrent hearings and two diffrent forms to fill out. I took my sons sperm donor for support i got the money and we left.

IF he WANTS visitation, HE must petion for it, but you can always counter, saying he is unfit, although it is in your child's best interest that he knows his father unless he is abusive. Your child is entitled to child support, it is not for you, it is your child's right to be supported by both parents, so I suggest you try to get support

even if you do not go for child support, the father has visitation rights unless the court rules no contact, or the father gives up all parental rights and that means no child support for you. I have two boys, one has his father in his life the other does not. I see the difference, it leaves a hole in the child's life w/o his father. No matter what you have to think of the child first. The one w/o his father is better off w/o due to poor life choices, and he is getting over it, but it has affected my son and his self asteam that his father is not a father or can not be a father. He is entitled to visitation even if you DON'T go after child support. It just depends on if he wants to pursue it.
