  • I set a daily reminder on my cell phone to take my bc pills. The IUD I got was the one without hormones. I had it 3 months and hated it. I felt it during sex as did my husband and I was crampy a lot of the time and felt awful almost everyday. I just had it taken out and feel so much better. So, I'm back to doing bc pills and either condoms or withdrawal-

  • Use condoms... I would never get on any of that other crap b/c of all the problems they cause. I mean every new birth control says it's safe then in a few months you'll see all the lawyers advertising " have you been on the patch and experienced blood clots, heat attack... so on and so on".
No thanks. :o) I want to be around for a while

  • I read that post about the women getting prego on the IUD-copper... It is scarey b/c if you do get prego it's usually a tubal and what not. Ekk. I'd also use condoms... lol they've worked for me so far but I hear of people getting prego on them too

  • I have taken the pill and I am now on the patch. For me, the patch works well. However, you would need to consider what works best for you and your lifestlye. I would look up information on each method, and make your decision based on that and not on what other women say....our bodies are all different. As I said, the patch works well for me, but may not for others. Also, speak to your OB/GYN about your concerns. If you are interested in the IUD, your doctor would be the best person to seek advice from. I hope you are able to find something that works best for you. It took me a while before I found the right birth control. Good Luck.

  • I have an IUD the copper and plastic one! I LOVE it. I have had it for almost 5 years now and I have 5 more with it if I want. There are no hormones and I have had no side effects. I was uncomfortable putting it in, but well worth it to me.
