How far along do you have to be before you can get a positive home pregnancy test?

  • I would say at least four weeks. That's why most home tests are for after you miss your period. But they are getting better.

  • If you buy one of those early tests, you can tell as early as 4 days before your missed period. That means you have to know pretty much exactly when you expect it though!

  • It depends on your body. I took a cheap Walgreens test and I found out when I was barely 4 weeks along. My best friend took a test, maybe it was a fluke, but she was only 2 weeks along.
