Is this normal for a first teen pregnancy?

So are you postively pregnant? Or are you asking to see if you are pregnant? All of the symptoms can be symptoms of being pregnant. I know I had just about all of them. However, they tend to show up at different stages in the pregnancy. In regards to gestational age, you count back to the first day of your last period and that is how far along you are. Ovulation and conception are generally two weeks after the first day of your last period. Home pregnancy tests are usually effective (depending on the test that is) within a couple of days of your missed period. If you took a test and it was negative, wait a few more days and take another one. And this far in pregancy, the embryo is smaller than a grain of rice.

sounds like just being pregnant to me. that's how it is. it's not comfortable. it's not "fun". it gets a bit better towards the middle and then you get very big, very cranky and just want the baby out. I have never understood why there are some teens who actually WANT to get pregnant on purpose. You feel sick, puke, heartburn, things hurt that you didn't know you had, you cant breath, your nose gets stuffy, you get pimply, your feet swell, you gain weight, you get stretch marks (and they never go away), your nipples leak at inconvient times (like in the check out at the super market), your hungry ALL THE TIME but nothing sounds good, and on and on...eventually you have a baby that cries for no reason and you get totally NO SLEEP for like 3 months at least.

why so negative about teen pregnancy-not ideal but not exactly the end of everything that's good either. I had my 1st at 17 no sick, puking, heartburn, stuffy nose, pimply or swollen feet. I was 121 lbs the day after birth. I nursed for a year and they make breast pads for leaking. I got no stomach stretch marks (some on breasts) and felt wonderful the whole time. I have a great 14 year old and wouldn't change anything. The only thing wrong with teen pregnancy is mother's and father's who aren't ready to step up- but it can be done, I know firsthand!

Your pregnancy sounds exactly like my first one My doc told me it was completely normal but I would question the feeling like i have done 1000 crunches? Sometimes that could mean contractions But like I said I have only been through one pregnancy. Be careful about the headaches too Hig blood pressure cause headaches an if yours is too hig it could mean problems with the baby.

Sounds like you are, your test will show after your period is missed. I didn't really show any signs the first few weeks, just kinda knew. The only for sure way to know right now is a blood test. Good Luck and God Bless!

i think its ignorant of people trying to say they pay with tax money. i was a teen mom at 16 and i have never asked for anything from the goverment both my kids have a private insurance and my bf and i take care of both of my kids financially no body else involve so dont say you pay for teen parenting because im preatty sure even older moms sometimes ask for goverment money or take you "tax" money not just tean parents

and to your pregnancy it all sounds normal. the only think you should keep in track is the pain in your back theirs a diference between pain and contractions if you feel cramping like when you get your pariod and back pain then you should call your doc. my first pregnancy was high risk and i was i nthe hospital a couple times a month but dont worry everythign sounds normal dont forget to make and appoinment as soon as possible with your OB. drink plenty of liquids and if you want to take a home pregnancy test

to make sure you are pregnant then its more accurate if you take it after your missed period also do it as soon as you wake up when you pee for the first time. good luck and yes thats pregnancy but usually the nausia goes away or atleast isnt as bad in the future months and well the rest usually will go on for the rest of your pregnancy take care and dont worry of the ignorant people who talk bad about teen parenting. it is possible to do it and you will raise great kids just give it all you can and remember it helps a lot of you try to stay in school its very hard but well worth it

If you want to know if you're preggo, GO TO A DR! I don't understand why that's such a difficult concept for people... LOL.

BTW... if you're TRYING to get pregnant, please don't. I don't want to spend my tax $ on any more people who TTC and then can't care for the kid(s). Please, get on some kind of bc.
