How can you tell if your baby has dropped?

I just wanted to know, because the other day it felt like he was up further and now I feel like I have a lot of pressure more whenever I'm sitting.

  • I think your doctor can usually tell, but you might be able to tell by an increased amount of pressure and your stomach looking totally different.

Then again, I've carried low my entire pregnancy and people keep telling me that I've dropped, and I know for a fact that I haven't =]

  • Usually women feel like its suddenly easier to breath, but as a trade off you feel like you're waddling even more with increased pressure between your legs or in your pelvis area.

  • If you are carrying high it will be a lot easier to tell than if you are carrying low. But you will be able to tell when the baby drops because you may have increased pressure lower in your pelvic area and/or you will be able to see the change.........stand if front of the mirror every day and look at your belly......the minute your baby drops you will notice that your baby bump is much lower than before!

  • I always dropped about a week or two before I had my babies. I felt like I could breathe again, had to pee more and it felt like I was carrying my babies either in my ass or my knee's. My legs stayed tired alot!

  • Hi! um, you'll feel pressure when your baby has dropped. My baby began dropping at 32 wks, and hasn't too much moved since. they'll be pressure in you pelvic region, your lower back, and at times your legs. You'll have to potty alot (he/she is pushing against your bladder). The good thing out of your baby dropping is that breathing becomes a WHOLE lot easier. Hope that helped you! Happy Pregnancy!!!
