How do you organize your household bills and paperwork?

I'm just wondering! I have tried the three ring binders, a tote with hanging folders and I still have bills and paperwork ALL over the place!

  • Ive tried all that stuff too!lol I am sooo unorganized. Just keep a file box with hanging folders by your front door and as soon as the mail comes in just stick in in there. If its out of reach then you're not gonna do it. When it comes to most bills just pay them online and print the invoice. That way you can avoid extra statements laying around. I shread them as soon as I get them (after I know they were paid online) GL

  • I do the binder but i use file folders that i cut in half and when I get a new bill I put it in the pocket in the back of the binder when i pay each bill i put it in its own section with other bills from the same company. Each company has its own section. I also list the amount i pay out on bills alone on a zip drive. I keep it in my binder and list all the info like how much i paid how much i'm left owing (like car payments or credit cards) I hope this works. Most people i know who use the binder and have no luck with it dont organize things they just put it in the binder where ever. I hope this helps and I hope this works well for you.
