Do you prefer Avon or Mary Kay makeup?
I am considering becoming a consultant but cannot decide which would be better for me?

I did Avon for a while and it was okay. It was only $10 to start out, which is considerably less than Mary Kay and was easier for me to maintain because I didn't want to do all of the parties and such...but I didn't make a whole lot of money, and I imagine you would earn more with Mary Kay if you were interested in having parties.

I use Avon. I hesitate to even order the few things I like from Mary Kay because I know my friend has to have such large orders to place an order. I know the percentage back is better on Mary Kay, but most people know that and most consultants offer 20% off all the time. I also don't like Mary Kay makeup itself. But I know many that do. I prefer Avon.

I prefer avon, Mary K is so expensive, and you have to do parties and what not. I sold avon for a while before I went back to school for nursing and you can do well for yourself if you have the drive. Good Luck!!!

I guess it's what you like to do. Me myself signed up for Mary Kay cause I wanted to make money and felt it would help me come out more but I didn't do it like I should. My friend use to sell Avon but she said she loved Mary Kay cause you make more money, and she didn't have a lot of parties she had people calling or coming up to her about the product. Like I said it's up to you what you really like to do.

MARY KAY all the way!!!!! I used to use MK when I was a young girl.....Now I am 36 and am much more interested in caring for my face......I signed up in March and have used MK products exclusively since then and I can tell you the drastic difference in my face.......With AVON you have to purchase new catalogs every 2 weeks as they change all the time...MK keeps the same catalog for an entire quarter.......AND the earning potential is much higher from the get go with Mary Kay....there is awesome training and you can't beat the products!!!!!!!I LOVE MY MARY KAY!!!!!!!!!!! You can work it many different ways....I earned 135.00 in about 30 minutes with just 1 client!!!!! Can't beat that!!!!

AVON ...no doubt. Quality products at very reasonable prices. WE sell more than just skin care and makeup. The earnings potential is unlimited. NO I have been an avon rep for 14 years. I decided 6 years ago to quit my job and sell avon full time.

Did the pink route for almost 5 years, but got tired of quotas and begging my down-line to sell more so I could keep what I had. Now I am a Senior Consultant with Motives part of Market
America. All you have to sell is $200 once a quarter, and you get paid on volume not recruiting others. You a also don't loose your business volume at the end of each month like mk and have to start over again each time.
