What are some easy Thanksgiving craft ideas for kids?

I have a preschool in my home and I have been looking for preschool crafts for 3 & 4 year olds.

  • You can't go wrong with hand turkeys. Take construction paper, glue, maybe some craft eyes, soem cotton balls, go crazy. Have them trace there hands and help them cut them out and make turkeys out of them. It is easy and fun! Hope that helps.

  • my mom watches my daughters and always has them make collages. She will say "Okay, now find pictures of animals" and they dig through some old magazines and she lets them cut 'em all up and glue the pics they find to piece of construction paper.

  • have them make their own stamps too . . . it's easy . . . buy some foam paper at the craft store, let the kids cut them into shapes and press the shapes down onto an inkpad and let them go nuts on a poster board.

  • paint the thumb brown and the rest of the fingers each a different color...this will make a turkey...add the gobble and beak with markers and you can use a googly eye for the eye of course!

    paint with pumpkin seeds

    indian headresses

    pilgrim hats

thanksgiving day placemats - foam pieces or butcher paper and then decorate

pillowcase indian dresses - dye in tea...cut a whole for the neck and head at the top and cut wholes for the arms....leave the original opening there for the legs
