How can I relieve back pain?

I am having really bad back aches!!!!!! please help!. Also I cant see to get comfy on my sides, any ideas???

  • I have a huge knot on my back from an injury years ago so my lower back aches now all the time. I sleep with a huge body pillow now. I put it between my legs and the rest bhind my back and kinda lean on it. Back aches are no fun. Good Luck

  • Huge body pillows as PP said, warm bath/shower, massages from SO or a professional massage -- some GENTLE prenatal yoga stretches (you can find and watch on the computer free!). Walking and stretching will really help strengthen your core -- so will sitting on a birthing ball/exercise ball instead of on chairs and couches. Hope you feel better.

  • i'm not sure what kind of body pillow you are using, but i loved the pregnancy wedge in the beginning of both pregnancies and a cuddle pillow towards the middle/end. the cuddle pillow goes between your knees to accommodate the widening of your hips and the other part goes under your belly to give added support. there is also a prone (face down) pillow that allows you to stretch your back. i would also suggest a maternity belt - medium support or strong support if you are having multiples or have had back issues prior to being pregnant.
